Your Prospective

It is easy to focus and blame your problems on the negative events that happen “to” us. Unfortunately, we have little control over certain situations or circumstances. Perhaps if you can think of those negative events as something that happens “for” you instead of “to” you then you will have the opportunity to find more strength, courage, and purpose for life than ever before. It is easy to feel like a victim, and it is hard to think that something horrible happened “for” us but with faith, your will-power, and attitude; it is possible. I can attest for myself that I’m stronger, more courageous, and have found a greater purpose through my spinal cord injury. Would I have been given the same opportunities had I not been injured October 16th 2010? Would I be able to inspire those in need through my non-profit, my speaking, or my story? I do not hesitate to say no, because I don’t let my injury define me and that’s the hard choice I make everyday. What hard choices have you made lately? “If you do what is easy, your life will be hard. If you do what is hard, your life will be easy” -Les Brown
